The weather outside is frightfull

Hello all,
Saturday morning, and my house is freezing. When I got up it was 16 c in my house and it is still only 20c after 1.5 hrs.. is it normal for a furnace to take that long to warm up the house?? Gotta say I am not loving this weather.. I mean really it was + 10 last week and it supposed to be -28c or something retarded like that tonight.. It would be better if it just stayed at -10 all winter, atleast you could get used to it.. ok enough weather talk.
Been a busy week, as chunks and JT can probably attest. Not much time to respond to the daily email banter. Had a 2 day workshop, then trying to balance 2 projects that both need 100% of my time.. I was hoping to have things slow down this time of year.
On the stomach front, things seem to be improving although not 100 percent but better than nothing.
My dogs are going through some sort of asshole phase. Ever since Dewie got his haircut he has been a bossy asshole. Barking orders all the time. Even peed on the kitchen floor twice. Then there is Addison. Little asshole has taken to eating CD's and picture frames. She got into a CD box of Rochelles in the bedroom and destroyed a half dozen CD's and the lid.. I would put her in her kennel but the little asshole chewed the latch thingy off of it.. You can't tell me she didn't know what she was doing.... Plus she has reverted back to being the shoe bandit.. always going into the front closet and dragging shoes out and chewing on them..> JT, is Addisons sister doing the same?? The pisser is that she is so bloody cute, its hard to stay mad at her.

On the reno front, plans are to get a lot done this weekend since I am feeling better. We have made some design changes due to the small size of the room. Since the shower is so big, it turns out we wont have room for both vanities and be able to open the shower door.. There were 2 options to fix this.. 1st one to redesign the shower to be a neo angle one so the door was on the corner, or give up one of the vanities. We decided to return one of the vanities. Probably will not not be using both at the same time very often especially since the main conflicts right now are when we are brushing our teeth, and since we have a electric tooth brush we can only brush one at a time anyways.. This will also save about 500 bucks that can definitely be put to use somewhere else.

We also have some work to do in the new guest room in the basement to prepare for my Dads visit. He and the little lady are going to be here on the 22nd so we need to put some paint on the room and possibly a door.

Update on Rochelles potential career change. She had a formal interview on Wednesday with TELUS. Seems to have gone pretty well. The interviewer was trying to scare her off with tales of splicing line on a phone pole in -25c.. lol He doesn't know my girl very well, she is a tough one.. lol The starting salary is 19.60/hr and goes up to 2o something after a couple months, then regular increases ever 6 mos. Plus the free schooling. Not a bad deal.
He said they will know in a couple weeks. Wish her luck.

Well not much else on my mind for now..
Keep warm and keep reaching for the stars..

Margo

Oh, I hope Rochelle gets the job!! THINK of the renos you could do then?! LOL!

Do you give Addie lots to chew on? Have you tried the Nylabones? Or the white plastic-y ones with the colored bumps in the middle? Might save your stuff. She sounds like she is just bored and trying to get attention. It's hard when they are cooped up this time of year.

And don't even talk to me about weather. I have a whole post about this coming up!
